About Araku Valley

#3.About Chaparai water Falls

Chaparai Waterfalls is a captivating natural attraction located near Araku Valley in Andhra Pradesh. Nestled amidst the lush greenery of the Eastern Ghats, these waterfalls are formed by the flowing waters of the Brahmani River, cascading over rocky cliffs and creating a serene and picturesque environment. The falls are particularly popular for their scenic beauty and are an ideal spot for picnics, nature walks, and photography.

#4.About Araku Tribal Museum

Located in Araku Valley, near Padmapura Botanical Gardens, the Tribal Museum was established in 1996 by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation. It was set up with the aim of conserving and displaying the tribal culture of the region. Various indigenous ways of living are exhibited in the museum through the display of objects of daily use such as jewellery, hunting tools and kitchen tools. Scenes of quotidian life are staged through the arrangement and construction of life-sized statues.

#5.About Araku Coffee plantation

The history of Indian Araku coffee is deeply linked to the local communities of the Eastern Ghats, the Araku highlands, in Andhra Pradesh. It dates back to 1999 when the infant mortality rate was still very high and the schooling of girls was very low. The Naandi foundation then arrived in the Araku valley with a social and public health project. The teams meet the Adivasis community, the indigenous tribal communities of the Indian subcontinent. #6.About Araku Anathagiri WaterFalls

Ananthagiri Waterfalls is located on the Eastern Ghats, about 60 km from the Visakhapatnam. It is 30 km from Araku Valley and 3 km from Ananthagiri Town. The thick rainforests, lush green coffee plantations, rolling hills, deep ravines, and swirling waterfalls will sweep the visitors off their feet.

#7.About Araku Borra Caves

Borra Caves are situated on the East Coast of India in the Anantagiri Hill range of the Araku Valley. Spread across an area of about 2 sq km, the caves are situated around 1,400 m above sea level. In 1807, the caves were discovered by William King George of the Geological Survey of India.

#8.About Araku Katika WaterFalls

To reach Katiki falls from Araku, you have to take Borra Caves road at Mulyaguda junction between Araku and Visakhapatnam (around 30 km from Araku, after Anantagiri). Cross the Borra Caves railway crossing on the same road. Nearly 2 km from the railway crossing, you have to take left turn where the straight road takes to Borra Caves (caves are 2 km from here). After 300 meters on the same road, take a left turn and go for about 4-5 km. The road ends at the railway track near Tunnel #44. From here, you have to cross the railway track and go straight trekking the mountain. The falls are nearly 20-30 minutes trek from here and the path is narrow and slippery. There are jeeps available from Gatevalsa (7 km from Katiki).
